Makuragyo (Bedside Service)
Literally translated as “Pillow Service,” the Makura-gyo is performed for a loved one whose passing is imminent or has just occurred. It offers an opportunity to express love and gratitude for having had that person in one’s life, and helps to ease the pain and shock of the immediate family members and close friends. Rev. Ishii is on call 24 hours a day and may be contacted to perform this service.
